As you probably know, this brand was part of a small business enterprise which was acquired by a large Italian host and Datacenter one, CDLAN Spa. a few years ago.
Prometeus is a budget brand and the increased costs of power, hardware and operations as well as CDLAN becoming a subject to NIS2 essential service providers rules makes this model no longer sustainable.
We will cease all operations of this section in March 2027.
How will this unfold?
We removed all subscriptions and automatic payments we could at this end. If you have setup something manually, then we cannot end it, please make sure you do.
We have set all services to a monthly billing cycle, even for the ones which had no such possibility a monthly plan has been created with arbitrary prices, please make sure you check them.
There are about 6 months left to migrate out. Inside the last month, if there will be some refund requests, we will be processing them for the services which have a lease beyond March 2027 already. The exact mechanism remains to be determined but it will make sure there will be a fair refund or more.
It's been our honour and privilege to provide services to our loyal customers since 1997. There are still a couple of accounts imported since 1998!
